Hey all.
Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t posted in sooo long. Sorry about that! I can’t remember where I left off…but I’ll start with school?
My marks, in short, sucked. I was not impressed at all and I am certainly not amused by the fact that I couldn’t even manage to get ONE 80. My average didn’t move, but I’m sure as hell not happy with that fact either.
My week off also kind of sucked. All I did was work work work, so when I went to start my new job I had already worked and had no time to actually do something. My new job is ok. Its a little frustrating right now because I can’t get my one reaction to work. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but if my fractions show me that I didn’t get what I wanted to get…then I think I get one more shot. Hopefully I can get this last try to work, or else I’ll be screwed.
Also, I have officially determined I don’t want to do my masters in organic synthesis. Its just….not interesting to me. It feels like I’m making cookies or something, accept I keep screwing up the cookies. What I really like is instrumentation and stuff, but not the kind of work Dr. Raina is doing, which means I don’t know if I can do my masters here or not. I think I’ll need to take a couple more 400 level classes to actually see where my interests lie. I still like kinetics and stuff, but Dr. Murphy doesn’t intend on really letting me do that this semester I don’t think. *sigh*, this kind of puts a kink in my plan.
Other than that, my dancing kids had metal tests this last week. I looked and everyone did very well, even though the judge was a total idiot and was asking them things that they shouldn’t have had to know. I was a little ticked. Also, I was told I didn’t teach them 4th position. You know why? Because NOT ONCE WAS IT EVER EXPLICITLY STATED IN THE SYLLABUS. This was my first time teaching theory! Its a little stupid and unpractical to just ‘hide’ it in there. Apparently the way your supposed to know is that they go from grade 1 – 2 and in grade 2 they expect you to know 4th intermediate position, which requires you to know 4th position. Still, they never say it, and I think that is a poor excuse.
hmm..what else? I’m still working at McD’s on the weekends, and I’m not going to tell you about this horrid lady that deserves to be eaten by rabbid panda’s. Just know that I want to find that woman and beat her up. Bad. I really do hate working 7 days a week though, its extremely tiring and I haven’t been able to sleep in once. It really pisses me off to no end. I think I’m going to try to get people to switch with me or something, because already I’m just dead exhausted.
Also, I move in about 1 week! 1 week everyone! I’m pretty excited. All I need to do is pack up my room, which shouldn’t take very long, and I’m ready to go. I bought totes and everything to haul my stuff around. Maybe I’ll have a party or something? Maybe I should wait till we get a table and some better couches.
And I think thats everything! I’ll try to be more diligent in the future.
PS: OMFG EDGEWORTH WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!
