Back to hell:(

Well, my week off was fun while it lasted.

I managed quite a few shifts and worked a few shifts as well.  Total hours: 54.  Do I get to see that with my managers pay?

OF COURSE NOT.

Ryan, bless his soul, is a big lazy eff.  So far my experience has been ask Ryan to do something, and Ryan will do it 4 months later.  Well, I could have had roughly 600 on this last pay cheque, but now its going to be more like 480, which isn’t bad as I will have enough to pay off my credit card (HOO HA!) and still have money left over, plus my dancing cheque will put money in the bank.  I think I’m going to save up a little more before I start making some purchases, which are long overdue:

-New teaching shoes.  Mine are kaput, the arches have fallen and they are far too stretched out.
-A  long sleeve shirt for teaching in.
-Some new binders for school, and more page protectors.
Well, thats all I can think of right now, but I’m sure theres more.  I also have to save up for moving out, which I have to tell my dad about soon, which is nerve racking, but I mean I don’t think he’ll take offense to it?  I hope not anyways.

So this week at school should be super fun! I have a lab, an assignment, an annotated bibliography, a 2 day lab midterm, and another lab due.  I finished most of it, accept for my first lab and the last question on my assignment.  I’ve been studying for mineralogy and I am finishing my annotated bibliography tonight.  So, I think I am in pretty good shape.

My break was also fun!  I managed to crack my head on a cabinet door and split my head open, causing it to bleed for a good hour.  Then I had my workers all trying to be in the backend at the same time, which just pissed me right the hell off, then they all started fighting with each other.  It was a mess.  Thank god I don’t manage till….till whenever.  Ryan, as usual, doesn’t have the schedule made up, so I wouldn’t really know. How annoying.

And apparently this thursday I get to go shopping for sax stuff!  I get to start lessons soon, which excites me because I’ve been waiting a long time.

Anywho, I would make this longer but I have to go shower and such.

So, here I am blogging again! And what has Megan done?

NOTHING!

We’re talking about this on our way to school today.

So my car is now fixed. Apparently last time it was fixed it was done 100% improperly, so this time they did it right and my dad payed for it. Hoot.

But now, we are getting more and more cold days, and my gas milage is just being shot. Its really annoying me, and I wish I had a new car. I’m thinking in the summer that if I make enough money and Phil makes enough money we could lease a car. I just need something that is reliable. We’ll see I guess!

So homework. Wow, I have SO MUCH DUE THIS WEEK. I have 3 assginments, 2 labs, and a very hard midterm to write. Cool. I need to get my ass in gear today and tomorrow and just finish it all. When this week is done, I’ve got my week off! I mean I’ll still have lots of homework to do, and an annotated bibliography to write, and a lab midterm to study for, but I mean I get a week to do it! I’m pumped.

Also, valentines day is this coming thursday. Me and Phil are going to Memories, which is fancy, so I need to pull out my fancy clothes. I also need to get him something for valentines day. My initial thought was a present, but I think it kind of cheapens the holiday. Instead I’m going to go look for a nice picture frame, and print out a picture of us and put it in there. Its the only thing that fits my budget and actually means something.

I also had my first managers shift yesterday. I get in, and Ryan hands me the themometer and says “get to work!”. I was 100% ok until I got to the meat, and it just wouldn’t work. I did forget that I can use a crew person to lift the meat for me, so that was probably my downfall. I also have to do it twice next week with Kristen, but I don’t think that’ll be too bad. I also don’t mind the 10-6 manager shifts. Yesterdays went by really fast for some reason, and I don’t know why.

I also picked up a 1-5 shift tomorrow. I’m pretty much taking as many manager shifts as I can so I can get used to them. All I have to do tomorrow though is count tills and labor and safe, and then go home. So, its not that bad at all.

I really don’t mind being a manager. Once you learn how to do all the stuff, its really not that bad. And I LOVE NOT WEARING A HAT. God I hate those hats.

I also got my hair redone this weekend! And for cheap to! (74). Its much shorter now, and is black and orange. I’d put up pictures, but I haven’t done it well enough to warrant putting it up on the internet. I’m going to try later though.

And I would love to write more, but I think I’m out of things to say. I’ll catch you guys later!

Tiredness has cut me deep

I’m sorry!  I’ll try to make a post more often.

And its really weird, because I haven’t had a whole lot of homework, but I am still behind and busy.  I think its because I slack off far too much on saturdays, which is the day when I only work 3 hours and tutor Brett.  I think I need to start doing more homework then, and that’ll make it much better.

So, last week we had a record cold for our winter.  -50.  Well, I jump into my car, which is frozen all the way through, but STILL STARTS!  I am pumped!

Yeah.

Then I get into it again and all of my power steering fluid has leaked because the patch that was holding is together leaked.  Great.  So I take it into Bob Grants garage to get it fixed.  Well, it wasn’t finished on friday, so I had to wait till monday.  This is usually a problem, because I spend my weekends with Phil.  On friday I couldn’t be without him, so I got my dad to drive me over (which was a challenge all in itself).  Then, Phil works 12-4 the next day.  I’m waiting at his house, and try to phone McDonalds saying I’m going to need a cab to work.  And guess what?

My phone dies.

So, I go upstairs to people having a party and ask if I can use a cell phone, and no such luck.  COOL, I love drunk retards who’s lives are going completely nowhere.  So, my only option?  Walk.  I walked from just outside downtown all the way to McD’s.  I did make record time, only an hour and 15 minutes, but I ended up with frostbite on my cheek and I couldn’t feel my legs.  Luckily Charmaine knew what to do with my cheek, so within an hour it was pretty much all better.

So I worked that weekend, and did some homework on Sunday.  Talked a lot to Maryanne, and I’m glad that she isn’t with Dean anymore.  She needs someone to just focus on her needs, and I guess this new guy does?  I can only hope.

I got my car back on monday, and my dad went behind my back and told them to fix a whole bunch of crap and the payed for it.  This extremely angered me, as I’m moving out this summer and need to learn how to deal with things like these.
Classes have been going ok.  Chemistry 250 got a bit more complicated, and I keep finding mistakes he made in his question sheets.  Oh well.  I think I need to get earlier starts on my assignments so I’m not just handing in things that I am unsure about.  The lab has been going quite well, accept for those retarded capillary columns.  Damn them, damn them to hell!

Geography is a bit better.  I kind of understand what is going on.  The book helps a lot.  I haven’t sat down and read it in a while, but even his lectures make more sense to me.  Our first assignment was kind of challenging for me, because I’ve never had to use an atlas in my life.  I’m sure Megan was thinking I was a complete retard, which I probably was, but hey it was my first time!  Our second assginment, worth 5% of our mark is……A CROSSWORD!

I love this guy.

We finally got our first assignment in chemistry 491.  It will be so easy, but I’m still going to work my ass off on it so I don’t dissapoint him.  I’m hoping that he doesn’t regret hiring me for the summer.

OH!  I got a job for the summer with Dr. Murphy!  I’m going to be his research assistant doing his synthesis projects.  I’m really excited, and I get to keep working for him during the term.

Mineralogy has been going…soso.  The reason is is that the labs started out extremely long, and I was barely finishing them.  However, they have shortened considerably, which is much better for me.  If I get an extra long lab next time I’m going to go in on monday and do half, write it up, then go on wednesday and write up the other half.  I need to start getting good marks.

I have mineralogy’s midterm the day after valentines day, which isn’t bad I guess, but I’m going to be doing something with Phil.  Kind of blows, but I’ve started studying for it already.  I’m giving this thing a full 2 weeks of my attention.  I screwed up chemistry 241 becaue I didn’t do this, and I’m not making the same mistake twice.  I’ve pretty much finished the review, but I still have a couple of questions, and then I can go on to re-writing all minerals on seperate pages etc.  Fun!

I think that covers everything in school.

For dancing, I’ve made a couple of changes.

I’ve quit step dancing.  I wasn’t going, I have too much to do, and I couldn’t justify paying 40$ a month for nothing.  I’ve also stopped teaching on tuesdays, so I can have the day to myself.  Its quite nice.   Also, choreography has started, and I need to get my ass in gear so I can make it!  So much to do.

In work related shtuff, I have my first manager shift this coming monday.  Its from 10-6, which means I’m being trained on how to do food safety.  Yay.  I already know how to do it, so I’m not worried.  I do need to have this stupid TL book done for Ryan by then too.  I have to watch a dvd.  Bleh.  I think I’ll be having a busy saturday.  Oh well!

Also, I have to order another friggen book off of amazon.  This is the last one I swear, but my credit card bill is going to be huge.  I do have 235 to put on it from dancing, so thats not bad.  I’m just hoping work pays it off by the end off the month.  I can only hope.
